Let us know where to refund you

You’re here because you received a letter from us letting you know that we owe you a refund. We can refund you in one of two ways:

  1. Since the impacted insurance policy was held inside super, we’re required by law to refund the money into a super fund (including Self-Managed Super Funds).
  2. In some instances, we can refund the money directly into your bank account. But you’ll need to meet a condition of release (ie retired, above the age of 65, and other conditions you can find here).

If we don’t receive your details for this refund within 30 days of the date on the letter we sent you, we’ll transfer your refund to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). You can find your lost or unclaimed super by calling the ATO on 13 10 20.
