MLC Life Insurance is proud to announce that it has signed the Tobacco-Free Portfolio’s Finance Pledge (the Pledge), a global initiative to accelerate progress towards a tobacco-free future. In signing the Pledge, MLC Life Insurance commits to not providing finance for the purposes of growing tobacco or manufacturing tobacco-based products.

As a life insurer we see the deadly impacts of tobacco in the claims we pay for people suffering heart disease, lung cancer and other chronic health conditions linked to smoking. We support initiatives to reduce the incidence of tobacco use and therefore improve the health of Australians.
